Hi,

I'm not sure this is possible, but I'd like to know if anyone knows of a piece of code to return the password on a protected work book. I have been given some archive files to work with but the person with the passwords has left the company.......

Dont think its possible but if anyone knows of a way I'd really appreciate it.

Cheers,
Gary

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Gary,

If its a password to open then you can only remove by "brute force". this could take minutes or days dependent on the password & speed of the computer.

If you would contact me via pm or email we can discuss.

However I am away until Thursday.
