Hello,

I have a large spreadsheet which has 847K records (rows) and 30 columns. I need to work with this spreadsheet sorting, running macros and formulas. When I filter and sort, it will run for 5- 6 hours then crash. I have seen larger data sets work before (at another company), this should be doable. Presently, the sheet is clean with no formulas etc.

I am running a Intel Core i5 vPro 8th Gen
32 Gig of RAM
Office 64 Bit

I have tried breaking the report apart and this just won't work. I have made multiple attempts here.

Any recommendations, other than breaking the report apart, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Marc

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
maybe Power BI Desktop, and us that to query the data file ? I'm just starting out to learn this

I will look into BI Desktop. I will try it out and see if it can manipulate the data more efficiently. Thanks
