We have a shared Excel file stored in Teams files. Teams likes to open it in Excel Online by default. It's a simple price calculator and for the most of us it works just as well in Excel Online and in Excel App but for a couple users the Online version handles numbers entered manually as text. The calculator is expecting for example product count to be a number so it returns an error if the number entered in the cell appears to be text instead. When they open the same file in the Excel App on their computer everything works as expected. Any idea what could cause this strange behaviour in Excel Online?

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
I'd suspect it's the regional settings. Get them to check File - Options - Regional settings in Excel Online and make sure it matches their desktop settings (might be an issue if they use a different decimal separator for example).
