Hi all,

I currently have this formula:

1616744515259.png

Right now the cell is showing a blank cell.

I then have another cell that links to this cell through this formula:

1616744550590.png

This cell also shows blank, because the first cell is blank.

I then have a third and final cell with this formula:

1616744590870.png

However, this cell returns the value "Not blank", which it should not, because the other two cells are both blank (specifically the second one, which this one links to).

Can somebody please help me out on how to fix this?

Thank you so much! :)

Best regards,
Jyggalag

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Are you sure you have not set not to display zero? Type 0 (zero) in empty cell and see if it become "blank"

It does not become blank if I type 0 in cell 2 either.

How do i fix this? :)

Yes... you are right. :)
I first commented on the formula incorrectly. I read that it has a blank, but of course it had a "blank". Then I no longer had time to correct my message. Had to correct that: I didn't read it well. But there was a time out before I was done....

So there should be nothing wrong with the formula ...

Like @Tupe77 said if cell has formula then it is not considered blank

Looks like I have to read more carefully ... a bit confused

I confusing you. You read that just right...

Anyway:
Zero (0) is not blank even blank is zero (0).
So that logic works only one way ...

I tried writing =code(cell name) and this returns a value to me.

If the cell is TRULY blank, it should return #VALUE

However, how do I get the If command to understand that the cell is actually blank when nothing appears in the cell?
