I am trying to link a Excel (97-2003 or 2010) spreadsheet to a Quick Test Pro test so I can write out test step status.
While I can insert rows in a database table, I have been instructed to use Excel.
Importing the excel spreadsheet into QTP does not give me the ability to do all of the other things I am doing.
I am able to connect to the Excel spreadsheet but I need to access the Excel table.
However when I use msquery (the QTP built in way to access external data) and select the excel file I want I get the "No visible Table" error.
I understand that this is a known problem in Excel.
How can I work arouind this?
Is there another way to access an Excel table?
Thanks,
HalMetz
