When I view My Documents list in excel, the list view starts with M's and stops at S's. How can I start with A's.

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Scroll to the left, if necessary (scroll bar should be at the bottom instead of the right if this is the case), and/or make sure you have Excel files that start with A.

By default Excel will display only "All Microsoft Excel Files." If necessary, just change what file type you are looking at from the dropdown if the "A" file(s) you want are not .xls files.
