Hello, I'm new to the forum and need your help. I have a spreadsheet coming where I need to validate the data columns on a monthly basis. Im thinking of maybe write a macro to do such. Column data validation includes checking to see if the date Is within requested range, whether the column date is within 30 days of the dates in the previous column, etc. Please advise how I can go about do that. I'm thinking coming up with a macro to validate the data as they come in. Any tips and suggestion on how to do this is very much appreciated.

Hello Kaylen,

You could use Conditional Formatting and set up some rules to do this.
1. What column are dates you are validating in?
2. Which column has the second batch of dates you spoke of
3. What is the requested range for the first column? does i vary? or is it fixed?

If CF is not possible, VBA will do this easily

Thanks

Yes the data is mostly dates. The date range varies upon the month requesting. So for example this month I'm collecting the data where the date range is the last two months. As for the columns, for example, col A is the date the decision is requested, col B is the date the decision is made. I want to check to see if col B is within 30 days of col A. What is best to accomplish this as I receive over 100 of datasheets every month.
