Excel keeps Not Responding

Hi all,

I have a spreadsheet that seems to have taken to going into a Not Responding state multiple times. This morning it had decided to start looping (goes into NR, comes back, I try to do something, goes into NR).

I'm talking to my IT department around a re-install and have one of my team testing the spreadsheet but I wondered if I was missing anything obvious that might be causing the issue? Seems to happen mostly when I've been away from the screen and try to click a cell.

When it's working the spreadsheet is fine (its relatively complicated but still works like a dream once the code runs)

Again, when it's working, it very rarely freezes.

The only anomaly I can see is that on the VBE I have a number of random sheets that I don't recognise (they have an excel icon rather than a sheet icon) and I can't run code from them? Linked books maybe?

Any direction of detection would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
