Hi all,

I was wondering if there was a template in excel 2003 that could be used for printing on a 3x5 index card. if so, could someone be of assistance in help me finding it or setting it up?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Probably easier to use data in Excel to do a mail merge in Word that has a good selection on pre-defined templates you can choose from.

Have a look here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/templates/index-cards-3-x5-and-4-x6-TC010253801.aspx

Trust me though that doing a mail merge in Word is quite easy. There's a wizard that takes you through pretty much the whole process.

You just need to set up your data in Excel in columns with headings e.g Name/Address/Post Code which you can then arrange as fields on your mail merge template in word. Once you're set up you print either a few or as many cards as you want.

Hey Domski

if i do it that why with mail merge and all.. is it going to print in "row and header" format, because i need it to print in a specific way onto the index card itself.

Thanks!

Nope. That's just how your data is arranged in the Excel file. When you set the Word document up you can arrange the fields on the card as you like.
