Excel if statement returns false, when it should be true

I have a formula that uses an if statement to compare if 2 columns are equal.
I am getting true for some and false for others, and after I make both cells equal in their mathematical formula, I am still getting false.
I checked the values, and they are equal. I also read online, that it could be that the number is treated as text, but I just don't understand how could this be if I made math operations on the columns.
I will try to use the value function on both columns and see if that helps.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
