Excel - Identifying a Cell based on the type (i.e. letter/number) of a specific character in that cell

Hi All,

Got alot of data and only interested in the references which have a latter in the 14th character. For example, the references are LLLLLLLLLLLLLL, and say LLLLLLLLLLLLL9. Im only interested in the data where the 14th character of this reference is a letter (LLLLLLLLLLLLLL) and not a number (LLLLLLLLLLLLL9).

to add to this, ive already got the following formula, =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("A",A2)),A2,""), however the bit i need to be flexible is "A", i need this to allow for any letter not just A

Are they always just LLLLLLLLLLLLLL​? or can you have LALBLALBL for example?

it could be any reference whatsover, only concerned with the 14th Character of that reference
