Hello, this is my first time posting to this site and could really use some help with the below, as I have already spent a long time trying to figure out an appropriate formula.
I am creating a waterfall schedule based off monthly expenses, and need to allocate the total monthly expense for a given month over several months according to a company's average inventory turn (say 3.6 months).
For example, if the company had total expenses of $70 in January, it should allocate $70/3.6=18.76 in January, February, and March, and then the remainder of 11.26 in April. I need the formula to be dynamic so that I can apply it to total expenses for each month and properly spread them over the waterfall. I am able to create a formula to do this for whole numbers of inventory turn (3.0, or 4.0 for example) but am having trouble including the partial period required for a number with a decimal (3.6).
Please let me know if there is anything else I can clarify, any help anyone might be able to offer is very much appreciated!!!
