Hello all,
My excel program started behaving funny since this morning.
Anytime I select a cell with a few characters and do the following the program goes into some sort of an infinite loop and hangs.

1. When bold is pressed;

2. Select a cell, ^1 (for formatting) and then click on font.

Either of these two causes the program to hang and the only way for me to stop it is kill the program.

Don't know what the heck is going on.

Thanks,

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Uh, because you're running Excel and not Access??

Assuming you've fully repowered and this still happens, a corrupt .XLS may be assumed. If so I would step back through prior generations and/or regenerate everything. Remember to salute the Antichrist's minions in proper fashion if so.

P.S. that type of question is where O/S and application version should normally be provided. That might have impelled you to notice that this is not the Excel forum - unless you d**klessly flooded every forum in the world, which I'm sure you didn't do, right?!

Could there be a chance you're running a function?
Ever thought about hitting control-Break to see if it interrupts it?

Alt-F11 will kick you into the code windows.

Multi-Posting = Very Bad.
