excel goes to sleep

I sometimes use Excel to search for numbers with certain properties - the required numbers often turn out to be big, and many times I have run Excel through the night to complete the search.

I've just tried this on my new Windows 7 computer, and it turns out that when the computer goes to sleep, Excel does too, rather than continuing to run in the background as it used to on my old computer. This means that unless I keep activating the computer, the search is limited to a few minutes. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there any way around it?

Thank you,

Jonny

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hi Derek, and thanks for your welcome. Your advice looks to be spot on - I've adjusted my computer, and fingers crossed that'll do it; I'll post again if there are any more problems,

Thank you,

Max
