So I am trying to extract all of the totals for each element of a pivot table. I don't normally use PTs and this one is not mine. I need to compare each total to my data to see if I agree with the results of the PT.

this is the formula that I have:

Code:
=L5-GETPIVOTDATA("[Measures].[Sum of Current ITD Amount]",$A$5,"[USSGL_LU].[USSGL]","[USSGL_LU].[USSGL].&[101000]")

I am sure it is something that I am just not seeing.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.

Nevermind. My caffeine caught up with my brain.

For others looking for the solution, simply right a formula to reference the required cell. In the example I gave above the cell to be referenced was B6. so =B6 will return the value shown there. =L5-B6 is the formula I wanted and it is a dynamic reference.

thanks all,
