Excel function similar to GETPIVOTDATA

Hi,
Is it possible to replicate the GETPIVOTDATA function in an Excel workbook with no pivot table and get the same functionality?
I'm trying to replicate the GETPIVOTDATA function to match the ROW & Column header to look at data from another sheet.
