Excel Formulas in to Access

I have a very complicated series of spreadsheets, which receives data that is exported from Access. The problem is that the export process takes quite a long time. The information is received from survey data, and we compile the survey information by designating a number to a satisfaction code. As an example, if someone checks "Totally Satisfied", that will get entered as a '5'. We have 14 questions that are asked.

Once the data is compiled, I export the data to Excel. This data is then calculated, and displayed as percentages on sheets within the workbook.

Anyone have any ideas on how to re-work this?

I can e-mail the whole package to anyone interested in looking at it.

Hi,

Forgive me if I'm grabbing the wrong end of the stick, but can't you just use MS Query to read the Access data into an Excel sheet, rather than exporting all the data to Excel?

You didn't give a whole of detail in the post. Why are you exporting it to Excel instead of using an Access Form or Report to display the results?

wouldn't I have to have a separate query for each field?

IE: Vendor #5, Overall satisfaction =1
Then:
Vendor #5, Overall satisfaction =2

so forth and so on?

Without knowing the structure of your database and what you are trying to accomplish, it is impossible to say.
