Hi Guys
I have a cell which has both the DL and a name in it. I want to separate it using a formula. Text to columns wont work because the names and DL are entered in a random manner
For eg
In one cell I have - Christian Jack; DL_QueueMgmt
And the other I have - DL_QueueMgmt;Christian Jack
I want a formula which it picks only the names

Please assist

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
How about?

=TRIM(IF(FIND("DL_",A1)>FIND(";",A1),LEFT(A1,FIND(";",A1)-1),MID(A1,FIND(";",A1)+1,LEN(A1))))

*assuming there's always a DL_ and a ;
