Excel formula question

How can I create a formula that will search a column for identical values and then sum total key identified columns?
 

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Sort by date Sort by votes

Could you elaborate more?

You can post a sample of your data, say 5 to 10 rows, putting borders in the range and copy + paste.
