Excel File opens as hidden

Hi all,

I am opening a file from a shared network drive that when opened automatically gets hidden. This only started a few days ago and only happens to me and not other users of the file.

Does anyone know how this could happen and how I can stop it ?

I don't know much about VBA but there are no macros in it that have the text 'visible' or 'hidden' that might be responsible.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Usually if others are using the file, you can't see it or edit it. I could be someone is not closing it after they are done with it.

I can see the file, and i can open it. It's password protected and I am prompted to enter the password.

But when it opens I have to manually unhide the workbook from the Review menu. I can edit it (as long as no one else is already it and I open read only).
