I was working on a client's spreadsheet and went to enter data into a cell and received the error message: "Error you have inadvertently entered data between rows"

I have never seen that before and when I googled it, NOTHING matched

Anyone ever encounter this?

Note: the spreadsheet had a lot of merged cells that I unmerged

Thanks

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
It's a message box generated by VBA code in the workbook, or an Add-in.

If you have access to the code, you could debug and work out why the message is being generated.

Or you might simply want to ask the client.

Thanks for the reply but
a) it is not an XLSM so there are no macros and therefore no VBA code
b) I don't think there are any Add-ins (how would I check that)

Another option is that it's a data validation error.
