excel drop down list to populate multiple columns

hello,

Can anyone please send me there suggestions on how to automatically populate a range of columns.

As of now, I have a manually created reference chart located on sheet 1:

What I am trying to do is on Sheet 2, is be able to set column D as a drop down with the choices "In progress" and "New Awards". Where as, if the user selects "in progress", then columns E:P will be populated according to the reference chart on sheet 2. And Visa Versa for "New Awards".

What I don't want it to have any formulas on the chart in sheet 2.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this??
