I need to take a date (currently formatted as 07/25/2019) and make a new column into text with 8 characters. 07252019

Ideas?

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
You mean like?
Code:
=TEXT(A1,"mmddyyyy")
(if your original date was in cell A1)

How about
=TEXT(A2,"ddmmyyyy")

I think you got the month and date flipped around (as there is no month 25!).

You're quite right, I automatically used the UK style.

Exactly! I knew it was easy, but couldn't remember. Thank you so much, a lifesaver!
