Hello everyone,
I'm a bit new to number formats and i discovered today you can apply conditions on the value of the cell to modify it's format directly in the "custom" format formula.
However it seems i am doing something wrong because, as an example, this works :
[Blue][<1000000]0;[Green][<1000000000000]0;[Red]0
But if i add a 4th condition like this, it does not work anymore
[Yellow][<1000];[Blue][<1000000]0;[Green][<1000000000000]0;[Red]0
Is it related to the 4 cases (between ";") of the formula?

In this case i guess, as suggested in this excellent article (Custom Excel number format), it is better to use conditional formats, but i wanted to understand why i was getting an error at the 4th condition ?

Thank you for your time

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
it seems this is the case (as stated here):
To apply more than two conditions, or to change other cell attributes, like fill color, etc. you'll need to switch to [URL='https://exceljet.net/conditional-formatting-formulas']Conditional Formatting[/URL], which can apply formatting with much more power and flexibility using formulas.
