Hi,
I have a sheet that I created and have been using for about 6 months now and i have made no recent changes, it just randomley started acting very slow last thursday on a perticular tab.
There are a range of tabs on this sheet but its only playing up on 1 of them.
this tab contains information that i would put in for an expense claim then a macro is called to send the data on to a database.

In columns b and c is the start and end date of a claim.
For a reason i cannot explain when a date is entered into column C and i then click column D i have at least a 1 minute loading response time before i can enter the second date in then another 1 minute response time before i can continue, but if i type in text value in the response time is instant. every other cell on this tab acts as it should with no repsonse time.

There are macros on this sheet which is what i thought could potentially be the issue but i have disabled them and it didnt resolve it. like i said i havnt changed anything it just started to happen.
There are no external links on the sheet and the are a couple of formaulas that are dependent on these cells but they have never acted like this before.

I dont get a "calculating" at the bottom of my sheet and i also changed my formulas to calculate manually incase this was the issue.

Can anyone explain why this would suddenly started to happen?

Who is Mr Spreadsheet?
Author John Walkenbach was Mr Spreadsheet until his retirement in June 2019.
Resolved.

Basically i had hundreds of the same image sat on top each other.
resulted in objects stacking on top of each other and must of slowed it down processing each one.
Once removed the sheet went back to functioning how it should.
