At home I have Excel '97 and Windows '98.
A problem has appeared thus:

I open a workbook in Excel
I can edit the workbook OK and do a save.
However, if I try do a 'File>Save As', then Excel crashes.
('Excel has performed an illegal operation etc' )

This is a repeatable problem, and is not restricted to any particular workboook - it does it for all workbooks.

A reinstallation of Excel may fix it, but I am loathe to do this if one of you
guys has a smarter fix.

All suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
If you only have this problem in the Excel "Save As" operation, I think you have already stated the, probaly, best answer: Namely, uninstall Excel, and re-install it. Just do it.
