Excel Corruption Issues

Hi guys thanks for taking the time to look, an odd one here:

so i have a template folder with a bunch of excels.used many times before.

this time, whenever i write in links to one excel, save and close, upon reopening it is corrupted, wont open without reapiring, and when it repairs the links are broken, though the existing links remain intact, only the new ones are an issue.

things ive tried:
brand new documents have no such issue
going back to the original document gives the same result
as does different computers and different excel versions, 2013, 2016, 2007.
template is saved on a network, copied template to desktop and tried there, same result.

i really am lost, any pointers??

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
thanks for that admiral,

however, this does not solve the problem. the book becomes corrupted after simple links are inserted. it is not realistic to fix corruption every time. rly i need to understand why and prevent the corruption in the first place.
