I'm using excel for mac 2011 and sometimes when I cut and paste, excel will paste in a different font. I always want everything to be in Times New Roman font but no matter how hard I try sometimes Excel will paste in Cambria font irregardless of the fact that I cut in font Times New Roman and am pasting on a sheet which is Times New Roman. I would think this problem would be solved in the preferences. But the only think that mentions font in the preferences is 'General' and I have the font selected there as Times New Roman. As usual the Excel Help section is of no help because when you input 'font' nothing comes up.

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Ok, I've made some progress on this issue. It seems to only happen when I cut from one workbook and paste to another. After I pace a widget will appear and when I click on that widget I get a drop down box and the default choice is 'use destination theme', but when I select 'keep formatting source' it returns to the Times New Roman Font. If I could figure out how to make 'keep formatting source' the default option I would have this problem solved.
