Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has any Excel certifications and if they have do you feel it has advanced your career.

Excel Facts

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
I'm certain being certified in Excel & VBA could only but help advance you in your career or at least be a good stepping stone in regards to working your way up the work ladder as most companies use excel and I'm sure if you are more than proficient with it you will shine above the rest.

I personally think they are silly. I did the Master route for the MS Office suite back in 2007. Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word. It helped me get a job supporting those applications but I don't feel it has helped me get a job as a data analyst/business analyst. In fact I had one interviewer snicker when he saw it. He asked me if I knew how to write VBA and at the time I was terrible and I said no. He just looked at me for a moment and then moved on to the next question. Good stuff. :)
