Excel cannot get data from other sources

I copied and pasted a common table that I was using in my spreadsheets to save time. Now excel says it couldn't get the data from table "x" in a workbook in another location. I don't need the file to pull data from another location as it is already in my excel file. Is there a way to disassociate any external data from my excel file? I tried going to Data and then to connections but none exist. Also, properties and edit links are greyed out.

Thanks

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
This is usually a problem if there are specific formulas in the table that rely on other sources, and those sources were not open when you copied the table over.

I would just try to copy and paste as values, and then change the range back into a table. That gets rid of the formulas and any association with any other workbooks.
