Excel auto-calculation question

Hi all,

I have a problem with Excel when it tries to auto-calculate the values while I really don't want such functionality. I created a CSV file with clients phone numbers. If I have a phone number, for example, 1-123-456-7890 in my file and then open it in Excel it displays the result of calculation, in this case it is -8468.

How can I disable such thing ? what I want to display in a cell is just original phone number, not its result.

Don't use Excel to view the values in the CSV file, unless you import the data manually.

Excel "assumes" and automatically guesses the formats of columns when viewing CSV files. See this thread for details:
