Hi Folks,
Does anyone know a way to prevent excel from 'copying a tab mark' as well as the 'string inside the cell' when you copy a cell by: right-click, copy (i.e., instead of double-clicking on the cell and highlighting the string, then copying it).
For instance: if the following string was in Cell A2
"Pets At Home - Ormskirk"
If the user right-clicks on that cell and then clicks copy; thereafter, the user pastes the data into another program's address database, a trailing tab mark is included in the copy/paste.
"Pets At Home - Ormskirk "
It's causing us issues: when we export the address database to excel as a tab-delimited file, text-to-columns splits the data but data in cells containing trailing tabs shift to the next column over.
Is there any settings that can be changed to prevent the automatic adding of a tab mark?
Kind regards,
Doug.
