Excel 97 Macro Problems

I am currently doing coursework on my school computers using Excel 2000. I was hoping to continue my work using Excel 97, the version that I have on my old computer (The Microsoft Works edition I have on my current PC doesnt seem to be compatitable). I've saved my school work (excel 2000) onto a floppy disk and have succesfully got it to load up on my version of Excel 97. However, when I try to work a macro, I get an error message reading "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down...".

This is what it says when I click the 'Details' button in the pop-up menu...

Hi!
This maybe an issue of BV compatability. your xcel 97 might not using VB 6.0 as in xcel 2000.
You may better post your code for the people here to see and suggest. the register error is very hard to guess. its not for human consumption.
