I imagine the answer is "no", but let's see: I have an Excel file on SharePoint which multiple users might want to access simultaneously. In effect, the workbook acts as a front end for users to view, filter, etc. the contents of a database by selecting options, entering search criteria, etc.

I don't want each user to see the search entries etc. made by other users, and so would like to prevent any entries made by a user from uploading to SharePoint (including in the Web version of E365). Is there any way of doing that?

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Can you not protect the sheet from changes, using the protect feature? or give them view access only?

Thing is that I don't want to prevent changes. Users need to be able to enter search criteria etc. I want to prevent those changes from being uploaded to SharePoint. Which probably means that I really need to ask in an SP forum rather than an Excel forum...
