Hi All,
I will soon be using Excel 64-bit (currently have 32-bit). What I have read is that my Excel file with all the VBA code, Macros, etc... will not work with the 64-bit.

I'm going to admit, this is way above my head on what needs to be done so I have a few initial questions:
1) Will it be difficult to change the file to be able to work with both 32 and 64 bit? Is it much easier to just change it to work with 64 bit only?

2) I'm a 'beginner' when it comes to code and usually seek out help. Is this something someone would be able to help with by just looking at code and not having to see the entire workbook and how the code / macros work?

3) Maybe same as question 1 but how extensive (time consuming and amount of work) is this?

I have read plenty of articles on this and other messages but it's not easy for me to follow and understand with my lack of knowledge.

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
Your macros will still work (unless you have complex APIs), the only minor issues is certain declared variables will have to change

64 bit is way more efficient for calculating/processing power.

1) It will not be difficult
2) Yes
3) Shouldn't take too long

It all depends on the type of VBA code you have. If you have simplistic ETL type VBA codes, you shouldn't have to change it at all

Thank you so much. Once I get 64-bit...I'll probably be back :)
