I have to ask has anyone else noticed issues with excel 2016 being slow or is it my high quality laptop?
I use a desk top at work and when scrolling large strings of data from top to bottom it is fast as it should be yet when at home on my laptop with this 2016 version and scrolling the same amount of data it seems as though it is taking its sweet time. It is also taking forever to save and seems to freeze up on a regular basis. I am talking 36 to 46 mb..
Thanks in advance

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
I had issue on mac. On PC, I never have problems since I work on SSD hardrive (the bugs start with files somewhere after 80-100mb) instead of HDD. I have i7, 1.7GHz and 8GB Ram, which is far from the top but the SSD makes it responsive to the blink of an eye

So I checked and my laptop HP pavillion is 6GB 64 bit 15-5200U, 2.20 GHz 2.19. I hve no clue what all that means but....

I find that with 2016, the speed can be significantly affected by add-ins (File->Options->Addins). Your HP laptop may have add-ins installed that your desktop machine does not. I'd start with disabling all of the add ins and if that speeds things up, re-enable them one by one until you find the culprit.
