Hi everyone,
I developed a file on O365 using Power Query for my wife to automatize some tasks.
On her laptop the file with power query would not work (using Excel 2016).
I first thought it was linked to a version issue but then I did the following on her professional laptop :
When I update the table of the result query or if I do Data > Update all data, the following message shows up :
So that is not linked to my file but to her Excel configuration I guess.
I saw some posts on that topic, unfortunately with no answer that would solve that issue.
Any idea ?
Many thanks,
Gerald

I first thought it was linked to a version issue but then I did the following on her professional laptop :
- Close and reopen Excel
- Create a new file
- Create a table with headers and one line, load it up in power query.
- Close power query and save.
- A worksheet with the results of the query is being created.
When I update the table of the result query or if I do Data > Update all data, the following message shows up :
Of course, if I change the set of the data, the PQ result does not update.Initialization of the data source failed. Check the database server or contact your database administrator. Make sure the external database is available, and then try the operation again. If you see this message again, create a new data source to connect to the database
So that is not linked to my file but to her Excel configuration I guess.
