I have downloaded the data samples for Excel 2013 Pivot Table. I am looking at chapter 2 data and the actual chapter in the book and I don't understand how to use the sample data.
Hello and welcome to The Board.
Open workbook "02 - Creating.xlsx" and select worksheet "Chapter 2 Sample Data".
Click somewhere in the data table and follow the instructions from Page 22 (Creating a Basic Pivot Table).
As you do so, your pivot table should look like the images you see as you move through that chapter.
