I would like to use the Table feature in Excel 2010 to manage data as I paste updated data into the table on a weekly basis. The columns will always be set at 5. However, the rows will either increase or decrease from week to week.
Last week, I inserted my original table on to a 5 x 200 data set (5 Columns, 200 Rows). This week, I want to paste in a 5 x 150 data set into the same table. However, when I paste the updated data with 50 fewer rows into the table, the 50 extra rows of last week's data are still contained in the table. They are located below the updated 150 rows, and will give me inaccurate out put in other areas of the sheet where I'm using formulas on the data set.
Is there a way to have the table range adjust to newly pasted data automatically, without having to start a new table, or scroll all the way down to the table handle to adjust the height? Should the Offset function be entered in the Resize Table box, similar to how it's done with a Named List?
Thank you
