I just wanted to find out how people like 2007. Considering upgrading, but most important issues are the following:

Have they increased the limit for row size (ie. it's something like 400 in the version I have)

Have they increased the number of characters allowed per cell

Is formating the cells easier

I read some reviews and the answers seem to be yes to all of them but I wanted to here if they were true from some actual users.

Any thoughts are appreciated :-D

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
And some!

1,048,575 rows.

16, 384 columns.

Unlimited conditional formatting.

Unlimited colours.

More than 7 nested statements (why?).

The Ribbon!

Personally, I like it. The help is much improved IMO, but they have cut-down the customability. Can't say about number of character per cell, I never had a problem with the old limit.

What d you mean by makig formatting easier.

I have to agree, I love it too...

you can sort / filter / count / sum based on Format...Yay!!

they added some functions like countifS and sumifS - for multiple criteria sums and counts. much easier than making array formulas.

I tried the beta version of this last year and it changed the format of a program I use extensively (I have a print sensitive layout for forms) etc.
I went back to the old version. Suits me!
