Hey everybody! We recently converted to Office 2007 at work, and I'm struggling through the change! One thing that I've noticed in Excel 2007 (which doesn't happen to one of my coworkers) is that if my "Normal View" is zoomed (e.g. 75%, 150%) and I change to "Page Break Preview" view then back to "Normal View", I lose my zoom and my "Normal View" changes back to 100%

Not a huge deal but certainly annoying... does anyone know if there is a setting I can change so I don't lose my zoom?

Thanks!

Bob

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
This has been driving me mad for sometime too but I have found what appears to be an answer.

The first time you use a sheet first push the 'Page Layout' button and then the 'Page Break Preview'. As long as you do this step first the original zoom setting sticks for the rest of the session and you can go back and forth between 'Normal' and 'Page Break Preview'. It seems the step has to be performed each time the sheet is loaded.

I have only just come across this and haven't had a lot of time to test if it works every time so I'd welcome any feedback.

Hope this works for you.

Ronn,

Thanks for the feedback. I noticed the Page Layout "fix" as well. However, I use freeze panes quite a bit, and of course, the Page Layout view is not compatible with freeze panes!!!!

If you find another approach, please pass it on!

Thanks!
