Excel 2003 VBA (search, compare, copy value)

Hi.
My first post but I hope I can get some help from You guys
I've browsed the forums, but it's just to much for me at this time :/
I'm an intern and my supervisior asked me to do this task - but my experience with coding is meh

What I need to do is to get a sting from column x row 1 to something (one by one) in file_x.xls and find that string in column y in file_y.xls (also one by one). chceck description of the record we find in file_y (if there is none - copy description from file_x, if there is copy to description2 column). description is of numeric value.
