This should be simple to do.... I have a Line - Column Chart, and I want to switch some of the series from lines to columns and vice versa.

I have tried right-clicking on a series, and tried changing the chart type (as suggested in other posts), but that changes all of the series, not just the one I want to change.

I also tried formatting the data series, but there does not seem to be any options here.

You mean you want to change the chart type of certain Data Points within a Series?

Don't believe that's possible (for obvious reasons, to me anyway!).

Maybe you could achieve an acceptable result by splitting your data into multiple series instead and choosing a chart type for each series?

Sorry, I was clear... I want to chane a whole series from a line to a column (not just some of the data points within a series).

Maybe you're just clicking in the wrong place then. Right click the series line itself, and choose Change SERIES Chart Type.

Thanks...... I got it to work.

Not sure what I was doing differently, since I was just choosing an individual series before, but I got the problem solved.... so thanks so much!
