Hi all and apologies for posting what for many will be a newbie question. I maintain a Excel 2003 spreadsheet that prompts staff to write reports by a certain date based on how many months a client is with a service.
Originally, this was simply based on one criteria that worked using the formula below:
=IF(OR(K2=""),(""),IF(J2<=48,SUM(I2+56),SUM(I2+112)))
However, the service has become more complicated and added a number of different criteria - see below. Is this possible in Excel 2003? My knowledge of VB is very basic - if that is the route I would have to go down and would prefer to avoid.
All calculations performed and displayed in cell C2 and must not overwrite cells where data is sourced.
So, a formula that incorporates all of the following would need to go into C2
If K2 is blank, leave c2 blank or if number in J2 is between 1-11 (inclusive), add 28 days to date shown I2 and display answer in C2
If K2 is blank, leave C2 blank or if number in J2 is between 12-23 (inclusive), add 56 days to date shown I2 and display answer in C2
If K2 is blank, leave C2 blank or if number in J2 is between 24-800 (inclusive), add 112 days to date shown in I2 and display answer in C2
If K2 is blank, leave C2 blank or if number in J2 is 999 add 56 days to date shown in I2 and display answer in C2
Again, any help would need to work in Excel 2003 (I'm not in control of IT upgrades unfortunately).
Any help gratefully appreciated and if I could buy you all a pint of your favourite lager, I gladly would.
