excel 2000 errors with xp

I have excell 2000 sp3 install ed on a win Xp home ver 2002 Sp3 and just started getting errors in excel It may let me enter data into a couple of cells but when I save it stops and wants to send an error report.

anybody have this problem?

Have you tried repairing you Office installation (Help|Detect & Repair)?
