Excel 2000

Hello! Just wondering if anyone could help me out with what seems like an extremely easy question regarding Excel charting.

I am using some very simple data and generating a "Stacked Column" bar chart. I am trying to make the bars farther apart, and can't seem to figure out how to do it. I have messed around with the offset, but that just seems to make the bars fatter and the space between them remain the same. I don't want to change the width of the bars.

I am looking to make the bars farther apart, since I am embedding it into a Powerpoint slide and trying to get the spacing right. I have tried to skew and stretch the chart after adding it into the Powerpoint slide (as an object), but then my data labels' font appears all stretched out.

Thank you for your help!

Melissa

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Right click one of the columns and choose Format Data Series. On the Options tab adjust the Gap Width until you are happy with the preview.
