Hey all,

I'm a newbie here, desparately looking for some help. My boss at work wants me to use the chart function on some excel files to make line charts in Excel 2000. My problems begin with the format of the information, and don't end there. The information is spread out among this little mini-tables, one for each week, with one month per row, and each fiscal quarter on a different tab.

1) Is there any way to take information from multiple tabs/worksheets in a single excel file to make a single trendline?

2) If not, is there some kind of limit to how many cells I can select for each trendline? As I said, the information is spread out, so I have to go through, hold down CTRL, and select all these cells, but eventually it won't let me anymore.

and finally, 3) Would either of these problems be resolved if I simply used another version of Excel?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Sincerely,

David C.

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi David, welcome to the board.

I would suggest using a single worksheet to gather all the data from the separate worksheets, and use that to drive your graphs.
With a single worksheet, it will be easy to check if it is picking up the data correctly.
