Hi,

I am having issues with the following formula returning matches which are not exact.

=IFERROR(INDEX(Sheet1!$BW$3:$BW$118,MATCH(TRUE,ISNUMBER(SEARCH(Sheet1!$FJ$3:$FJ$118,$BB7)),0)),"")

The formulas is searching for ranked values such as:
1(1)
1(2)
2(1)
3(1)
3(2)
3(3)
Etc

I am doing it this was to be able to differentiate between duplicate rankings

The problem I have is partial matches being returned. For example, when 15(1) is the correct value, I get the value for 5(1) as this is a partial match.

How do I get around this please?

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Try:

Excel Formula:
=IFERROR(INDEX(Sheet1!$BW$3:$BW$118,MATCH($BB7,Sheet1!$FJ$3:$FJ$118,0)),"")
