....verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file.
My computer crashed last night and it looks like the Excel 2010 file I had open at the time got damaged / corrupted. I have tried the following without success:
1) Open & Repair within Excel (will not open)
2) Restarted computer.
3) Moved file to a new location.
4) Copy to thumb drive and try opening on another PC.
5) Open in Internet Explorer.
6) Change Protected View setting in Trust Center, but still will not open.
Any ideas on how to repair the file, or recover the contents of file?
