Hey everyone!

The Issue: Receive the title error message while trying to sort a column in Excel 2007/2003.

Description: All Headers rows are formated as locked. Protect sheet function is active with the "Sort" selected. Filter function is active on every Header.

The Solution: It's seem like a formula in one of the column is causing this error to occur. In my case the formula combine IF and VLOOKUP functions while the VLOOKUP reference another sheet in the same file. Simply unlocking the entire column did the trick for me.

Fix: I am still missing a proper solution to the problem. Is there anyway to still use the lock function on those kind of problematic columns

Regards,

Gal

Since "Edit Ranges" was active on the header cells then the solution above worked but problem remain still when i disable "Edit Ranges" function.
Considering that i didn't really locked the Header cell, I kindly ask to "add" this issue to the Fix request above!
